Three years on our workmanship. One year on parts and equipment.
Every panel we install is backed by a written limited warranty. No fine-print scavenger hunt — here is what it covers, what it doesn't, and how to use it.
3 years
Limited workmanship warranty
Covers the electrical installation and repair work performed by EPO. During this period we will correct defects determined to be the direct result of improper workmanship on our part, at no charge to you.
1 year
Parts and equipment warranty
Covers the panels, breakers, meter equipment and other materials we supply and install. Manufacturer coverage that runs longer than one year still applies, and we handle that claim for you.
Coverage begins on the date the work is substantially completed and applies to the work we performed at that service address. Our written standard warranty governs the exact terms — download the full warranty (PDF).
Included
What the warranty covers
- Defects in the installation workmanship of panels, subpanels and service equipment we installed
- Terminations, bonding and grounding performed as part of your job
- Panels, breakers and surge devices we supplied, for the first year
- Meter housing, mast and conduit repairs completed under your scope of work
- Correcting anything an inspector flags on work we performed
- Labor to diagnose and repair a covered defect
- Repair or replacement of covered parts and equipment inside the first year
- Priority scheduling — warranty visits go ahead of new installations
Not included
What it doesn't cover
- Normal wear and tear, and existing wiring, circuits, grounding or conditions outside our original scope
- Work altered, repaired or tampered with by another contractor, homeowner or tenant
- Utility equipment and connections, surges, outages and voltage events
- Lightning, fire, water, weather, freezing, pests and other events outside our control
- Misuse, overloading circuits or equipment, or changes made to the system after we finish
- Code, utility, HOA or insurance requirements that change after the work is complete
- Cosmetic conditions that don't affect safe operation, and materials supplied by others
If something falls outside coverage, we still come look at it — we'll just quote the repair honestly rather than pretend it was ours. A visit that turns out not to be warranty work is billed at our standard diagnostic and labor rates.
The fine print, in plain English
Four terms worth knowing before you need us
It stays with the house
Coverage is tied to the original service address, not to you. Sell the place and the remaining term goes to the new owner — it doesn't restart, and it can't move to a different property.
Call us first
We need the chance to inspect and correct an issue before another electrician touches it. Outside of a genuine emergency, repairs done by someone else first can void coverage for that condition.
Give us access
We need reasonable access to the property and the affected equipment to inspect what's been reported. That's usually one short visit before anything gets scheduled.
Invoices paid in full
The project invoices have to be settled for coverage to stay valid. Financing counts as paid — Hearth pays us up front and you pay them.
Making a claim
If something isn't right, this is the whole process
- 1
Report it to us
Reach us at (720) 665-6943 or info@electricalpanelsonly.com with your service address, what the panel is doing and your original project details if you have them. Claims need to be reported inside the warranty period.
- 2
We check the job file
Every install is photographed and documented, so we can verify the original work and the warranty dates from our records — and usually tell before we arrive what we're bringing.
- 3
We inspect it
Warranty visits get scheduled ahead of new installations. We look at the reported condition and confirm whether it's covered. If there's heat, smell or arcing, say so and we treat it as urgent.
- 4
We make it right
Covered defects are corrected at no additional labor cost, and covered parts are repaired or replaced. You get written notes on what was found and what we did.

FAQ
Warranty questions homeowners ask
When does coverage start?
On the date the work is substantially completed — not the date you pay the final invoice, and not the date the permit closes.
Do I need to register anything?
No. Your coverage is tied to the service address and recorded in our job file, and we can verify the install date and warranty term from company records.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the house?
Yes, and you don't have to do anything. Coverage follows the original service address rather than the original customer, so whatever time is left transfers to the new owner. A sale doesn't restart or extend the term — it keeps running from the completion date.
What if the manufacturer's warranty is longer than one year?
You keep it. After our one-year parts and equipment coverage ends, any manufacturer warranty continues on the manufacturer's own terms and exclusions. We don't extend or modify manufacturer coverage, but we'll help you file.
Does the warranty cover parts of the system you didn't touch?
No. It covers the work we performed and the equipment we supplied at that address. Existing wiring, circuits, grounding and devices outside the scope on your estimate aren't included — though we'll tell you what we noticed while we were in there.
Can another electrician do the repair and bill you?
Please call us first. We need the chance to inspect and correct a warranty issue before someone else works on it — repairs done by another party beforehand can void coverage for that condition. The exception is a true emergency threatening life or property.
How do I make a claim?
Call (720) 665-6943 or email info@electricalpanelsonly.com with your service address, a description of the problem and your original project details if you have them. Warranty work is scheduled ahead of new installs.
The work this warranty backs
Coverage applies to the installation and the equipment listed on your estimate.
This page summarizes our standard limited warranty in plain language. The written warranty document governs in full, alongside the estimate and invoice for your job — see our terms of use for how that works.
